Z is for zombies and safehouses, apparently
Zafehouse: Diaries has a very silly name. The trend of throwing the letter “z” randomly into any media involving the shambling undead is rather infuriating, and I’m certain that Max Brooks never intended for people to do this so indiscriminatingly when he wrote World War Z. Anyway, enough of me moaning about the misuse of certain letters. Zafehouse: Diaries is a management survival thingymabob, and recently hit Steam.
It’s actually been around for a wee while, but since a significant portion of people aren’t aware of games until they launch on Steam, I thought I’d be a helpful guy and make one of those silly videos that people watch with their eyes, briefly showing off the game. Perhaps it would have been a more informative video if I’d bothered to spend a bit of time practising, but who has the time for that on Sunday? So I just dived in and died within 20 minutes.
I might do another, longer video later — though I make no promises. It’s a bastard to record, being inexplicably locked to a resolution that went out of style years ago. I did manage to stretch it for pleasurable viewing, but that had the unfortunate side-effect of fucking up the cursor. Also, I question whether people actually want to see me rummaging through maps and character sheets for more than 20 minutes. If you are such a person, let me know, and I might do some more. Then again, I might not. You’re not the boss of me.
